Parked on roadside next to gap in edge then made our way over field thankfully crop now gone so easy bag. Trig in good condition with all its metal work

Parked on Tamworth Road. Walked through a gap next to a gate into the field to the south west of the trig field, and then accessed the trig field via a gap in the hedge. Was a short walk from there up to the pillar.

A wide gap in the roadside hedge opposite a footpath sign. Crop harvested so easy crossing of stubble to the trig. Pillar located slightly N of the highest point in the field. Plug intact. Good views.

2nd visit at last. Field has just been harvested with both stacks of bales and large rolls of straw. Found a gap in the hedge line almost opposite the ROW where somebody or something has flattened the undergrowth, then across the stubble. Pillar in an uncultivated area. Original cap in place.

attempted re-visit. Clearly in view from road in a large field. If there were machinery tracks they were parallel to the road and a long walk to use: not prepared to trample a direct way through the crop.

all intact. Driven past numerous time but access has never been possible/easy. Today the field had been harvested and two tractors ploughing and harrowing field. Access readily granted, although the farmer initially thought i wanted to take photos of the seagulls eating the worms.

It was very dark by now but I was grateful for the gloom as this trig involved firstly parking in a bus layby and then crossing a very muddy field with no footpath in full view of the road at all times! Even a bus in the layby on the way back.

as others parked in the bus layby and headed through large gap in the hedge,pillar easily spotted against the night sky,across the harvested field,my third attempt in as many weeks due to waist high crops,fell lucky this time,although on my first attempt got caught by the a444 speed camera!the things we endure for trigging!!!!

It's probably not the best idea to bag & log Pillars at the height of summer in agricultural areas - today it's in a wheat field so access can lead to treading down the crop. Kept to wheel tracks as much as possible. Reasonable views today. Parked beside the first and last house SW of Measham.

An Epic Bus trip from Derby to Oakthorpe awful day fine drizzle and windy.Walked the road through Industrial Estate onto Measham Rd,turned right up to cottage and right into field.Easy route along field edge then across to trigpoint.Very Muddy.YUK.Off to Willesley.

Parked in the lay-by on Measham Road – tramped across the just tilled field to the trigpoint – an area left in the middle of a very large field – continued onto Apleby Magna and Apleby Parva then up to the No Mans Heath trigpoint – returned via Chilcote and Stretton-en-le-Field. A nine mile walk to get the two trigpoints

Roadworks meant i had to park back towards Ashby ,then skirt field back,half crop/half new sown,there is also a bird scarer hidden behind small copse..it works on humans too...

icy snow on the ground covering most of the whineter wheat so ambled across from the gap for a quick look an the first trig of my journey up to Blyth. Nice to get back for this as I originally planned this earlier in the month but ran out of light.

We thought this might be difficult due to crops but fortunatelt the farmer had harvested half the field and the trig was in that half. We parked at the side of the road oppsite a field opening and strolled across from there. Nice views. Plug with indented lettering.

I could not see this one from the road despite the oil seed rape being less than two feet tall. I went up to Manor House Farm only to be told it was not their field and still the trig was not visible. I was beginning to think it was gone. In the end I approached via the tractor tracks using my GPS and found it no problem. Was glad to have a yellow face next to it was it completes the 100 trigs closest to my home co-ordinates.

All i can say is this TP is still there. I was unable to get beyond the boundary fence from the road due to a field full of Winter crops.Could see TP but couldn't read even with bins! Pleasant open country though.
