Parked at the spot height similar to everyone else and headed straight up towards the cairn. Then followed the fence line all the way to the trigpoint. Personally found it tough going and dog not impressed with the cold, wind and snow showers. However the mountain hare went down a treat.

Beautiful views on a sunny day over Inverness and over to Stac Gorm and Tom Bailgeann. Parked at the spot height similar to everyone else and headed straight up towards the cairn. From here we followed the fence along the the trig pillar. Good condition. Might just be me but I got the feeling it was taller than usual?

Parked at spot height 463 and followed the old rusty fence across the flat boggy bit and up on to the hill. Arriving at the big cairn, it was an easy traverse across to the pillar. Afterwards, headed south to the marked track just to make a round of it. With Nozzer.

Log #144. Followed GRP's directions, although I parked a little further along the road as the small parking area at the 463m spot height was full. The road from Garbole to Farr is great fun - except when there are loads of cyclists coming in the other direction. Going was a bit soggy and I managed to sink up to my knees in the mud less than 20m from the car. Once you find the line of the old rusty fence, navigation to the pillar is a doddle. The cairn on Carn na Farr Bheinne is pretty substantial, not easy to miss. There are some peat hags and small bogs to traverse en route to the pillar, but nothing too difficult. I heard a lot of gunfire coming from the south while I was on my way to the pillar - I thought the start of the stalking/beating season was weeks (or months) away yet? Didn't linger at the pillar too long in case one of the tweed brigade spotted me and hurled some abuse (or lead) in my direction. Pillar is in good condition, but the cap is missing. Approached from east. Parked by roadside just along from at 463m high spot at NH718265. Made westerly beeline via cairn then following a line of rusting fence poles to top. Open hill, dry spongy ground which could be wet at times. Pillar in good condition. Spider centre open. Flush bracket faces ESE, compass reading 112°. Vented through NE sight hole. 360° open outlook includes the Kessock Bridge and beyond.
