Parked at Cochno carpark. First visited Whitehill then onto this one up past the farm. Its just over the fence of the path to jaws reservoir. The farmers gate was full of grease so couldn't jump that. The fence had an electric wire on it, so couldn't jump that. Thought I'd have to view from 50m away. Thankfully fence was down a little further along the track and got to touch the precious 😂😂. Nice views down to the city below.

Easy walk to this one from the car park at NS 50354 73983 although you do have to enter the farmer's field to hug it but this does then follow on to a footpath

Log #333. Very quick run up to this one, as I had parked somewhat awkwardly. Didn't hop the fence, took pictures from the track. Looks to be in good condition, with lambs still rather skittish. [ExP-241/MiP-28/Rev-2/BM-21/IS-31/Other-10]

Revisit. Approached from east. Parked in Faifley, up via mapped farmroad. Near north edge of grazing field. Pillar in good condition. Spider retains OS centre cap with deep indented letters. Flush bracket faces north, ~3°. Vented through east sight hole. 360° panoramic view, expansive outlook over Greater Glasgow to the south, and to the higher hills in the north. No access issues but field was extremely waterlogged following rain and snow. Continued up to Black Loch but Muirhouses has the more extensive panorama across the whole Clyde valley. Lovely spot.

Splendid condition, everything in the right place with only the East sight open. Surprisingly good views across Southern horizon. The lambs and sheep, sharing the field, have lost their springtime skittishness and I passed a rough field of goats on the way up the hill.

Very good condition pillar about 50m from the road. Cap present with sunken lettering, FB faces north-ish with east-ish sighthole only open. Utterly amazing views across the whole Glasgow area. Stellar. After trepidation after reading logs about this trig and Black Loch, found the farmer at *East* Muirhouses very pleasant and was happy for access to both trigs via the fields provided no dogs, no camping, no cutting of fences (!) and no shooting of animals. Which, to me, sounded fair. What eejit goes onto someone else's lands and bloody shoots the livestock....anyway, no issues at all and a very pleasant day out.

Pleasant lack of dog action and farmers. GOML message daubed on gate across lane north towards West Muirhouses at entrance to the field containing the trig. Bulls in a couple of the nearby fields but not the one containing the trig. Decent views south.

There is a handy unmapped track to be found a little to the SW which goes down to the Jaw reservoir pipe track, and so back to the road at the Cochno entrance.

GOML alert! Ferrocious Beast of a Farmer at West Muirhouses (1989). She was frightening. People like that have no legal standing under Scottish Law. This particular field belongs to East Muirhouses who are apparently more friendly towards visitors. First visit. To record FB number. Construction of the pillar was completed in August 1946 costing £6.4s.6d. In 1947 this marker was computed for triangulation as tertiary station NS77/T155 in the Glasgow secondary block. The flush bracket was levelled for height in 1968. This trig point was last maintained by the OS in October 1971.
