Spent the morning in Abbey St Bathans visited Edin`s Broch a lovely 6 mile walk. While in the area I wanted to lay a hand on this trig. Parked short of the TP and walked the last 30 metre along the road. I did not want to tap it as I drove past.

A well presented roadside pillar. Still maintains evidence of whitewash. Windfarm to the east and inquisitive sheep to the west. The unusual temperature of 15 degrees for February along with setting sun added value to this trig point.

Roadside marker on east verge. Pillar in good condition. Spider centre open. Flush bracket faces west, ~253°. Vented through east sight hole. 360° open outlook.

Beautiful day... the pillar has been carefully whitewashed leaving the Flush Bracket clean and clear. Plug and Cap are amiss with a tiny nibble out the North top edge. Rear/East sighting open.

Roadside job. Pillar VGC and still white then. Spider possessed an OS boss with deep indented lettering, which I believe has since been filtched. FB faces WSW across road. S7164 built 11th September 1952. Tertiary station in Block NT86, Berwick. Been there twice, original visit c14/07/1985. I originally had this named Quixwood Moor on my old listings. First visit. To record FB number. The pillar was completed 11th September 1952 costing £11.16s.3d. In 1953 this marker was computed for triangulation as tertiary station NT86/T30 in the Berwick block. The flush bracket was levelled for height in 1955. This trig point was last maintained by the OS in July 1971 but was repainted around 1992. Roadside pillar.
