Its a re-visit but seeing the recent photos, there are some things you just have to do. Towards the back end of a 12 mile walk I purposely detoured to this trig to give it a bit of TLC. It now resembles something like its prime, I hope it lasts (but I doubt it). I apologise for not being able to coat the rear of the pillar (the wall side) as the paint ran out. Note for anyone else considering such action, I reckon you need at least half a litre of paint to generously cover a standard trig (not including any plynth it might be sat on)

In the area geocaching. Poor trig could use a coat of paint, but that might just give the local gutterlife a blank canvas!!

Easily acessible. In parking area just off the road from Ilkley to Beamsley Beacon. The area would seem to be used by the local pond life if the graffiti on the pillar is anything to go by. Not an imposing position but a nice view across the valley to Rombalds (Ilkley) Moor.
