I stumbled across this on 15 June 2022 before Molly's Cafe came into being. I didn't appreciate exactly what it was. Social media gave me the answer! After completing all the Donalds I was looking for a new challenge and decided on Trig Points, subsequently joining this site. The rest is history as they say!

This sadly has now gone, and whoever has bulldozed it away should be arrested for vandalism. Surely whoever has destroyed this should have contacted the OS first to find out if it is still used or needed. Absolute jokers. Area now a food cabin. Previous loggers photos don’t actually show a pinpoint position where it was in the first place sadly

Sadly, I think this has been inadvertently destroyed, or possibly buried. It is now the location of a roadside snack van, located on newly bulldozed, levelled and gravelled ground. The friendly owner said she had only opened 4 weeks before, soon after the clearing and levelling work had been completed. This had involved erecting a new fence where the old fence, and ruined and overgrown wall was located. Might be worth visiting when undergrowth has died to see if the pillar can be found within the cleared rubble. Presumably, the chamber remains intact?.

Sadly I believe destroyed but hope I'm wrong. All the information locates it where there is now Molly's mobile road side snack bar on a recently scraped and neatly hard core back-filled area. Had a good search around both the fence lines and scrapings but no sign of it. It was probably still here in August!

Initially went over the wall and then realised it’s much closer to the lay-by just on the other side of the barbed wire fence. You can sneak in between the wall and fence if you want to hug it, brambles but quite squashed.
