2/2 today. Took the same route (roughly) as clochandighter. Not been logged in some time this trig. Wonderful wild remote area. Saw 3 White Tailed fish eagles above. There was a marine buoy with rope around the base of the trig (no name on it). Found some antlers which were quickly blown off. No rain on the walk and a stunning area. Limited mobile reception. Just under a 7 mile return walk in total.

Overall approach from NNW. Parked in permitted plot just before last house at NM312199, Knockvologan. Correct route leaves public road between farm buildings at NM314201 as indicated on 1:25K maps. Long path walk through lovely surroundings which form part of the Tireragan Estate woodland conservation reserve. Leave reserve path at NM337180 to head up steep slope through scrubby foliage and beeline WSW to south end of pond at NM329176. Clockwise around pond and another short climb through scrubby undergrowth opens onto the plateau with a beeline of ~600m WNW to the top. Vanessa in good condition. Spider retains OS centre cap with raised large narrow letters. Flush bracket faces ESE, ~108°. Vented through SW and NE sight holes, pillar bolt viewable. Spectacular 360° panoramic coastal view.

Argyllshire. We followed trails in the Tireragen Estate and then branched off to approach the trig from the east. It was trackless except for deer tracks and we found a fairly easy route up from the valley below, certainly not as difficult as anticipated, but route choice is everything! Plug with raised lettering.

vgc, cylindrical, metal cap, wide raised letters. Rock and heather summit, fine view. Hardest trig on Mull, I reckon, and quite an adventure. Good path from NNW (see 1:25k map) but Bagh Tir Chille and little glen to S both defended by messy little cliffs and tough vegetation: may be easier to follow track to say 333186.
